Every garment we make begins with your measurements. Below you will find our sizing charts, guidance on measuring accurately at home, and the terms that govern our work together.

All measurements are body measurements in inches, not finished garment measurements.

A note on fit
Our size chart is a general ready-to-wear guide based on standard body measurements. Individual body shapes and proportions vary, so your usual size may not give the same fit in every style.
For the best result, take your measurements and compare them with the chart before ordering, or send them to us using our measurement form. If you are between sizes or unsure which to choose, contact us and we will help you decide.
Oy Couture is not responsible for incorrect size selection made by the customer.
HOW TO MEASURE
Take your time. For fitted garments, accuracy is everything.
Use a flexible measuring tape and wear light clothing or fitted undergarments. Stand naturally, keep the tape level, and do not pull it tight. Do not suck in your stomach or hold your breath measure the body you have.
Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level across your back.
Waist
Measure around your natural waist, the narrowest part of your torso.
Hip
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, with feet together.
Shoulder
Measure from one shoulder point straight across the back to the other.
Sleeve
Begin at the shoulder point and measure along the arm to your desired sleeve length.
Dress length
Measure from the shoulder or high point down to where you want the hem to fall.
Trouser length
Measure from the waistline down to your desired trouser hem.
Inseam
Measure from the crotch down the inside of the leg to your desired hem.

By placing an order, making a payment, submitting measurements, or leaving a garment with us, you agree to the following.
- Appointments are recommended for consultations, fittings, and measurements.
- Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may result in a shortened or rescheduled appointment.
- Missed appointments or repeated cancellations may require a deposit or prepayment for future bookings.
- Clients are responsible for providing accurate measurements and design information when measurements are supplied by the client.
- Custom garments are made specifically for each client; changes requested after cutting or production has started may result in additional charges.
- Design, fabric, colour, and style changes should be confirmed before production begins.
- All garments are assessed before alteration. Pre-existing damage, weak fabric, previous alterations, stains, or delicate materials may affect the final result.
- Oy Couture will take reasonable care of customer garments but cannot guarantee the condition or performance of fragile or damaged materials.
- Additional work requested after the original alteration has been approved may incur additional fees.
- A deposit may be required before custom work or certain alterations begin.
- Deposits may become non-refundable once materials have been purchased, fabric has been cut, or work has commenced, subject to applicable law.
- Full payment is required before completed garments are released unless otherwise agreed.
- Rush orders are accepted only when Oy Couture confirms availability.
- Rush fees may apply.
- Completion dates may be affected by material availability, client delays, additional requested changes, or unforeseen garment issues.
- Clients are responsible for attending required fittings and communicating any concerns before final approval.
- For bridal, prom, and formalwear, please bring the shoes, undergarments, and shapewear you intend to wear with the garment.
- Once a garment has been approved as satisfactory, additional changes may be charged separately.
- Please provide reasonable notice when cancelling or rescheduling.
- Custom orders and alterations are generally not refundable after work or material purchases have begun, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
- Client-requested changes after production begins may result in additional labour, material, and time charges.
- Clients will be notified when orders are ready for pickup where contact information is available.
- Completed garments should be collected promptly.
- Oy Couture may apply reasonable procedures or storage charges for garments left for an extended period, where permitted by law.
- Clients are responsible for following recommended washing, dry-cleaning, ironing, drying, and storage instructions.
- Oy Couture is not responsible for damage caused by improper care after the garment has been returned to the client.
- Oy Couture is committed to a professional, respectful, and safe environment.
- Harassment, threats, intimidation, or abusive behaviour toward staff or clients will not be tolerated.
- Client information will be handled responsibly and used for legitimate business purposes.
